About Karin Rytter

Karin Rytter is a Scandinavian printmaker, illustrator and mom of identical triplet toddlers. Her work is characterized by a combination of stylistic realism infused with elements of storytelling, and on occasion a dash of the absurd. She is equally at home with a variety of classical artistic techniques and media, including oil painting, gouache, watercolour, nib and inkwork, and intaglio printmaking. Lately however, her main artistic focus has been linocut printmaking – a form of relief printing that not only has a striking graphic expression, but is particularly well-suited to a life with small kids, and plenty of them.

Karin has three years of formal training in fine arts, an education she pursued before studying Art History (BA) and Philosophy (MA) at Copenhagen University. She now seeks to integrate both strands of education into her worklife, working equally as an artist, a freelance illustrator and as a teacher and writer.

About Karin Rytter Studio

Shipping, terms and conditions

Karin Rytter Studio is a tax-registered business, and I would love to hear from potential stockists. I am also open for licensing, commissions, custom-orders and collaborations!

I upload new work to the store whenever I finish an edition, but I also stock a lot of prints not on display. If you have seen a particular piece on my Instagram or Facebook you are interested in, please get in touch through the contact form.

I offer worldwide shipping, and there are three options to choose from:

  • Items send as a letter at the buyers own risk (cheap postage, but no tracking or insurance available. DKK65 worldwide)
  • Items send as a signed for delivery (pricey, but much safer. DKK135 worldwide)
  • Free shipping for orders with a total above DKK1000  (approx €150)
  • If you live in Denmark, the options are slightly different; 65kr for pick-up at a postoffice or pakkeboks, and 85kr for home delivery. Shipping is free for orders with a total above 1000kr.

You can save on postage by combining multiple purchases, as I only charge a flat rate shipping fee. Import taxes and customs – if applicable – are the buyers responsibility, and shipping time may vary for the same reason. Although shipping from Denmark is quick, your items may be held up in customs if you live in a non-EU country. EU residents should receive their orders within approx. 10 days. I currently ship once a week, but if you need an order urgently we can work something out. All sales are final.

Phew! That’s all the fine print! Would you like to visit the store?
