Linocut – “Birds of a Feather” / Black on Pearl

Inspired by traditional folkart and the arts and crafts movement, “Birds of a Feather” features a highly intricate, organic design. Foliage and fruits intertwine, and birds intermingle and join up in pairs. It’s a love meets nature, meets love type of print!

“Birds of a Feather” is an original handmade linocut. Carefully carved in lino, inked and printed by hand, using an etching press, and numbered and signed by the artist. As a result each and every print is unique. The motive is made up from two pieces of lino, one is a frame, and one is an inlaid centerpiece.  This edition was printed using black Caligo ink with a dash of charcoal, on luxurious Stonehenge 250gsm pearl grey vellum. The paper measures 28 x 37 cm.
