Linocut – “Bunny Love” / Card and Envelope

For Valentine’s, for loveletters, for lovers of bunnies, or simply to slip into a small frame and display, this little bunny is up for the task. Handcarved from linoleum and handprinted on a press, this card is all handmade, original and unique.

The card features a anthropomorphic bunny with a loveletter, and comes with a matching envelope. A heartprinted envelope matching the one on the bunny’s lap. The overall expression is graphic, a classic black on white design, and the motive draws it’s inspiration from 19.th.century French salon paintings.

The design is handprinted onto cream Fabriano Medioevalis cards, a mould-made 260 gsm card (think high-end watercolor paper), featuring 4 deckled edges and a luxurious texture.  The cards measures 11,5 x 17 cm and comes with a matching envelope. Fabriano Mediovevalis is the top of the line when it comes to outstanding stationery, and these blank artist’s cards have been in production since 1904.
